An Angels With An Injections….!!!!

Dear Nurses,

I’m writing to tell you how grateful I’m that you were the sister assigned to me when I suffered from “Neurofibromatosis” since 2014. The competency of you and your team was awe inspiring and I couldn’t have been more lucky that you were the nursing staff on duty. The fact that I am still here is a miracle. I know that you probably save a lot of lives in a given year, but I want to let you know that this life has been forever grateful. The work you do is so important. And you excel at your work in every way possible. I can’t thank you enough for the care and attention you gave me over the last few years.

This few years has been a very difficult time for our family, but it could have been much worse were without your dedication and expertise. My family and I are truly grateful for the level of care. But, we’re also grateful for the time you took to talk with us to help us better understand our options.

I was admitted first time in ‘2014 May and my surgery was done. After that, I came for next surgery in ‘2016 June but unfortunately I was diagnosed by Acute Liver Infection. Next I was admitted in ‘2017 June for surgery, this period was very critical for me as surgery took 9 hours, along with continuous bleeding. I was shifted to ventilator for 4 days and 5 days in ICU. 4th time. Admitted in ‘2018 Feb for minor surgery. And lastly, I admitted this time i.e ‘2018 July for surgery but my families, friends, fan-followers blessing helps me. And my surgery got cancelled and I may get cured by medicines.

You treated me like I was as important as a family member. You truly care for your patients and it shows. I appreciate all that you did for me or the other patients.
Your expertise proves that nurses are just as important as doctors. If it weren’t for you I don’t know how things would have turned out.
You do so much more than just take care of people well. You are part teacher, part motivational speaker, and part therapist.
I’m glad you went into nursing. You could have chosen many different professions, but you made the choice to give to others and serve with your skills. You all are one of the best human being that I’ve met. I have a deep respect for what you do and the passion you bring to your work.
Thank you for your patience with me as I recovered. I know I’m not the easiest patient to deal with when I’m in Operation theatre or in Recovery room or in I.C.U or specially when you prick the cannula in my veins.

When you first introduced yourself, I didn’t realize how lucky I was to get such a great nurse. I hope to stay well, forever, but if I ever need help again, I hope to have someone as great as you are helping me.

There’s a special place reserved for people like you. You are a lifesaver.

What would I have done without your help.
I’ll never underestimate the power of a nurse. You have been amazing!
You need a raise! I’m sure already knows you all are an excellent nurse.
Thanks for being a caregiver, communicators, patient advocates and decision makers. You are the hand-holders, the 5am vitals-checkers, 12hours night shift. You become the around-the-clock best friend by the bedside, the calming voice, the familiar face full of compassion.

So, thank you. My family and I will never forget what you’ve done for us.

Thanks for all that you do! And special thanks to all the nursing staff’s of B-Wing, 9th floor, IPD Building, Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram.

  2. Practicing the art of life, making of one’s life a “work of art” is equivalent in our liquid modern world to remain in a state of permanent transformation, to be redefined perpetually transforming (or at least trying) into someone different from the one that has been gone until now. This is my experience after having read your text. Congratulations.
I invite you to read my most recent publication called “Thus I met Pablo Escobar” … Gabo arrives at the time. I share the link
